Two evenings of avant-garde films will be presented celebrating, in Canyon Cinema’s 45th year, the 2008 publication of Canyon Cinema—The Life and Times of an Independent Film Distributor, by film scholar Scott MacDonald. This major work documents Canyon Cinema’s roots as gleaned from the words, stories, artifacts and people that make up its rich historical legacy.
