Mire’s annual festival, PRISME, highlighting an inventive and engaged contemporary analog cinema, interacting with other practices such as photographic, visual, sound & performative arts, will take place from Wednesday December 6th to Sunday December 10th 2023 in Nantes and around (France).
To make up the program of this 6th edition, we are looking for : – recent films shot on celluloid (2020 and later) – moving image installations – expanded cinema performances.
Mythical Common Land ABC No Rio in Exile at Umbrella House
Myths are customarily simple stories and the most fascinating aspect about myth is that it knows it's not a "fact." Myth is flexible, subjective, and has room for imagination, alteration, and can build a bridge between past and present. Mythical Common Land invites artists working in film and video to share work that revolves around a space they inhabit, whether physically or virtually, and their interpersonal relationship and experience with that space.
Cauldron is an international film and video festival based in Salt Lake City that is dedicated to challenging and innovative motion-picture works in any genre or format. Unorthodox film narratives, rouge documentaries, avant-garde cinema, video mashups, abstract video art, genre-bending storytelling... We accept all categories with an eye towards innovation, iconoclasm, personal visions, and any/all unique motion picture experiences.
Transient Visions: Festival of the Moving Image was established in 2013. It celebrates the cutting edge art of the moving image through screenings, exhibitions, performances, and other festival events, providing a cultural experience that enriches the local community. The Festival works as a venue to meet artists in this region and beyond, exchanging and sharing ideas, while developing mutual relationship.
VIEOBARDO International Videopoetry Festival - 27 years
Videobardo Archive and International Videopoetry Festival, founded in 1996, opens its call to be part of a new edition of the Festival that will be held in November in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with itinerances to be defined.
Living with chronic pain is a multilayered experience. This exhibition approaches the subjects of illness, pain, and disability through the lens of intersectionality. It promotes care and visibility by prioritizing narratives of self-representations, advocacy, and community building.
The 6th edition of Moinho Cine Fest will take place in April 2024 in Custóias, Leça do Balio and Guifões, Matosinhos, Portugal. You can submit youts medium, short, micro and/or nano film produced from January 2022 (inclusive) through FilmFreeway until December 31.
Note: Accepts films submitted in previous editions but which were not selected and that comply with all the requirements of the current edition's regulations.
Submissions for the 9th edition of the Bucharest International Dance Film Festival are now open! Filmmakers, dance artists, animators, visual artists and digital art makers are invited to submit their works for the International and Romanian Short Film Competitions of the festival that will take place between September 7 – 10, 2023, under the theme of “clusters”.
