International Open Call for Video Works for International Portrait Film Festival's ‘Art Incubator’ ProjectLocation: BulgariaNo submission feeDeadline: October 1st, 2022

IPFF is more than an international festival for short films - it is also a platform for sharing thoughts and ideas in various mediums. It hosts a yearly photographic contest, the winner of which becomes the focus of an exploration called 'Art Incubator' - the selected photograph / photographic series act as a starting point for creative interpretations beyond the photographic genre to be presented.

2021's winner in the 'Portrait Pathways' photography contest was Silvia Husek (https://www.instagram.com/silviahusek_art/) with the triptych "To live is to die".

Phase 1 of the project ‘Art Incubator’ was dedicated to words, literature, poetry, and textual materials, inspired by the three photographic self-portraits. Here we present a snippet of the materials we received. Beautiful and loaded words that somehow reflect the portraits, adding to the many possible meanings and readings of "To live is to die": POSE, NET, CARAMEL CRUST, LIES, CAPTURED. The full and complete pieces will be presented in both live and online exhibitions in November 2022.

NOW we are looking for artists worldwide to respond to Silvia's works within the medium of VIDEO (max. 15 mins).

Selected works will be showcased at a live exhibition during the festival days in November 2022 in Bulgaria.
