L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival, celebrates its 28th edition. We offer filmgoers, filmmakers and industry professionals a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy screenings and activities that value creative freedom, diversity, innovation, commitment and thought-provoking reflection.

L’Alternativa will take place from 15 to 28 November 2021, and will be a hybrid event: onsite* and online.The main onsite venue is the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).

We accept features and shorts, fiction, nonfiction, essay, animation and experimental from Spain and worldwide.Cash prizes.
