maybe blue, residential art space in Boulder CO, seeks submissions of experimental animations

We are seeking submssions of experimental animations that incorporate hand-drawn images. We are interested in underground and experimental works. Submssions must not exceed 10 minutes. SUBMISSIONS ARE FREE.

Drawn In (I)

maybe blue's May 7th show, Drawn In (I), will be our most ambitious show yet. It will feature the work of young artists from outside of Colorado, who are deeply engaged in a drawing practice. We hope to “draw in” public interest towards drawing as a primary medium. By showing traditional mediums, installation, digital drawing, and experimental animation, we hope to highlight the breadth of what “drawing” means. Tentatively, the show will be accompanied by a catalog, which will include an essay by Arielle Myers, curator of Denver’s Union Hall Gallery.

maybe blue

Run by three women working individually in filmmaking, painting, and writing. maybe blue seeks to provide accessible exhibition space for work of emerging artists from all races, genders, abilities, sexual orientations and other identities.
