Cámara Lúcida has the purpose of being the convergence of cinematography surrounded by poetry, politics and sensitivity; like the main axis of their aesthetic and narrative being; purposes that deserve being preserved in a society that, slowly but strongly, tries to disappear the criticism and meditation through the overwhelming homogenization.

The strength of this Sessions is in the programming that connects, imperatively, to regard cinema and meditate it; shaping a cinema listing that aims to be “a mirror of the societies and a place of reflection about themselves” sustaining the imagination like the most important source of awareness of the world.

Cámara Lúcida distinguishes itself for showcasing films that show the mixture of regards and identities, turning the screening into an empathic place to the public, through film inquiries that acquires their own free voice; making cinephilia a space of coexistence and political mindfulness.

Regardless the genre, format, duration, topic or shape; Cámara Lúcida showcases movies to think about them. We believe in cinema like a magnifying of the individual perception of the world. We believe in cinema like a breaker of chains of the conscience.

The Sessions opens its gates to a great amount of authors that embrace the exploration of new filming methods to show and to narrate their diverse contexts; discovering new expressions waves, while they blur the impositions of the prevailing cinematography.
