En los últimos quince años hemos asistido al florecimiento de una red de cineastas, instituciones, escuelas y laboratorios dedicada a mantener viva la cultura del cine analógico en ciudades como Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián y La Coruña. Tras su paso por Nueva York, Se muestran en Barcelona en Xcèntric (CCCB), Zumzeig y la Filmoteca de Catalunya el ciclo «Colección privada», tres programas que recorren esta escena de cine contemporáneo filmado y proyectado en 16 mm y Súper 8.

This programme brings three formally different works by filmmakers based in the US, who approach Haiti as outsiders.
From the position of an outsider, each work seeks to document and understand the customs and everyday life of the Haitian communities they encounter, serving as fleeting historical glimpses of rituals and ceremonies performed on the island.
