tactileBOSCH presents Under the Counter Culture a curated programme of experimental film and video.

Under the Counter Culture explores and celebrates all aspects of night culture and the counter cultural and non-normative activities that it inspires.

Night Culture has long been at the forefront of avant-garde arts practice and the aesthetic and atmosphere of club culture has informed and inspired creative activity, individual and collective action where inhibitions and expectations are deconstructed, revealing a platform for free expression, experimentation, participation and play.

Artists are asked to submit films that shine a light on the value of night spaces to our urban landscape and their ability to invent new cultural forms and build new connections and their efforts to build unique platforms for inclusion, connection and presence in a world of increasing hostility and disconnect.

Selected films will be screened 1st and 2nd of November 2019 in a vast, disused, Grade 2 listed building in Cardiff. The screening will form part of tactileBOSCH’s larger festival which will take place over the month of November across multiple venues presenting exhibitions, events, performances, screenings and participatory workshops.

Submitted films must be no longer than 20 minutes.  Films must be submitted by Midnight 8th of September 2019
