Vooruit

Vooruit is a vibrant arts center with 300,000 annual visitors. Since 1982, we have been offering countless cultural events, focusing specifically on performing arts, music, books and city & transition. Vooruit organizes 500 to 600 of our own activities annually. In addition to this, we also cooperate with a large number of partners, who complete and strengthen our offerings through our hall rental.

    During the fifth Night of Experimental Film Art Cinema OFFoff again combines avant-garde (silent) film with innovative experimental music based on an overarching theme. This year the night flirts shamelessly with romanticism. The great feelings like Weltschmerz and Sehnsucht, individualism, and the longing for the unknown are back in contemporary alliances between musical impulses and cinematic desires.

    During the 42nd Film Fest Gent, Art Cinema OFFoff collaborates with Vooruit and Film Fest Gent and brings a night focused on (British) Expanded Cinema. The visitors will be dazzled by multiple projections on one screen and become the protagonists. Expect both iconic and (yet) unknown performances from the (British) underground.
