    With great joy we are back for new inventions and cinematographic reflections, opening the call for submissions for the 8th edition of DOBRA – International Experimental Film Festival.

    We know that experimental cinema, while a power of creativity and synthesis, brings important answers to the questions that affect us. In order to be in contact with creative artists from all over the world, we launch a new call for films and audiovisual works, redoubling the contemporary web that unites us through the multiple creations and poetics of experimental cinema.

    As we are setting up the 7th edition of FRACTO Experimental Film Encounter, we would like to remind you that the SUBMISSION CALL for 2023 is now open. We encourage all international filmmakers and artists to tune in and submit their recent works!

    - Every filmmaker may submit up to two films- Films must have been completed after the 1st of January, 2022- All formats are accepted: celluloid (S8, 16MM, 35MM ) or digital- Both short and feature films

  • Barbara Lattanzi: A Teakettle’s Thermal Beings

    “A Teakettle’s Thermal Beings,” an evening of live performance and video works by Barbara Lattanzi, made between 1988 and 2014. The event is taking place as part of Microscope's series of “Imageless Film” performances in connection and collaboration with the “Imageless Films” series at Anthology Film Archives.

  • Open Call - Children of the Moon

    Children of the Moon: The Mercury Sign invites short films from Queer/Trans POC artists from Latin America and Latin American descent.

    As a form of redefining by undefining, the program hopes to explore the organic, fluid nature of gender, identity, and spirituality within the collective queer voice as a unified community. An experience rendered vulnerable to a heteronormative universe that sacrifices their bodies as a consequence of their manifestation.

  • I Would Have Freed Myself

    On Friday July 8th and Saturday July 9th Helena Deda and Alex Faoro will share a small collection of work at the new Millennium Film space in Brooklyn. This presentation will happen in conjunction with the release of Helena’s new poetry and photography book, I Would Have Freed Myself.
