Nice pieces, but i think they're inferior to the video you posted earlier. Maybe it's that I don't like the music you used in these ones, but I feel the sync between images and sound is a bit off.
What was the original footage you used for these videos?
Hi Marcos....
Thanks very much for your constructive comments - much apppreciated I can assure you.
I am always delighted - indeed thrilled - thant anyone, would take even a nano-second to remark on my work!
So thank you!
They are definitely videoart and not cinema.
I deliberately went for an out-of-synch approach to get people away from the idea that is was a kind of music video.
I love the idea of using shadows to tell the story.
The images are basically effected shadows of an ordinary steeescene - people walking down the pavement (sidewalk!) cars passing etc....
I did not synch the edit, I simply repeated the short image sequences a couple of times.
I am going to persevere with this kind of thing - indeed I may actually leave off the soundtrack on some future pieces - leave them silent for display purposes.
Cheers!
Steven

Indeed :) I was comparing it to the videos you posted before. No wonder it seemed so off-sync. I'll have another look at them keeping that in mind.
