Underneath the Floorboards is an experimental film festival held in London buzzing artistic area of Hackney where everything that is non-linear and not of a traditional narrative sense will be considered.
No bias, no prejudice if you didn't study in the most prestigious art schools, we don't care, we just want to see work that is of an artistic nature and that creates an interesting language of its own.
We are creating a venue and regular festival for people to show video art and experimental films around the world.
Awards & PrizesNO prizes as such, just good films for those who want to be in the company of other artists and filmmakers and who would like to have their work shown to an audience with critics and fell filmmakers/ artists. This edition of "Underneath the Floorboards' will be show at the start of next year in the Hackney Attic, in Hackney Picture House, an excellent venue for screening.
Rules & Terms
- Films must be short films no more than 40 minutes max but we would prefer shorter films ideally.
- Must be experimental films in nature or in theme or video art.
