Projections will take place during the New York Film Festival on the weekend of October 5-8, 2017. The section presents an international selection of film and video work that expands upon our notions of what the moving image can do and be. Projections draws on a broad range of innovative modes and techniques, including experimental narratives, avant-garde poetics, crossovers into documentary and ethnographic realms, and contemporary art practices.

We hope that you will share new work with us for consideration for the upcoming edition. Recommendations are welcome, and we'd appreciate you spreading the word to students, friends, and colleagues. In addition to new work, we're also looking for recent restorations of historical films.

All submissions must be received by Friday, June 16th. Please send a preview link to and include a brief description of the work, country of production, running time, screening format, and premiere status. As a reminder, the NYFF requires that all films in the festival be at minimum New York premieres.

We look forward to seeing your new work!

Hi, Bernard

I was referring to the submission data in this very same page. You will not find a submission section in the Projections website, apart from the general NYFF call. This is a specific call for the Projections strand that isn't published there.
